June is National Homeownership Month, and we're kicking off our celebration by participating in home buyer fairs all across Texas!
Whether you're a first-time home buyer or a current homeowner, these events are a great opportunity for Texans to find housing-related resources in their area! These events commonly provide seminars and workshops on every step of home buying like understanding your credit score, qualifying for a mortgage, identifying down payment assistance options, finding the right home, and navigating the closing process.
Moreover, every fair offers an opportunity to connect with knowledgeable housing professionals eager to answer questions. We're sending TSAHC staff and homeownership experts we partner with to the fairs listed below, and we hope to meet you at one.
June 8 - 2024 Austin Home Buyer Fair
Hosted by BCL of Texas and AISD, this home buyer fair offers a series of home buying workshops and panels on the home buying process. TSAHC-approved lender, Clarissa Hernandez, will be on hand to answer questions about our programs. Register here.
June 13 - City of Dallas First Time Home Buyer Workshop
Panels of experts will answer questions about buying a house for the first time. Stacy Schriever, one of our top mortgage lenders, will be lending her expertise to help home buyers learn more about our programs. Register here.
June 15 - Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc.'s The Home Buyer's Fair
Hosted at the McAllen Convention Center, The Home Buyer's Fair features vendors from all homebuying related services. TSAHC's own Frank Duplechain will be there eagerly awaiting any home buyer questions. Register here.
June 19 - H.U.B.B. of Missouri City - 2024 Juneteenth Family Celebration
The 2nd Annual Juneteenth Family Celebration offers attendees an opportunity to celebrate and learn more about home buying. TSAHC-approved lender, Kayla Butler, will be on hand as a resource for propsective home buyers. Register here.
June 22 - Southern Dallas Progress Homeowner's Fair
Join Southern Dallas Progress Annual for a day of seminars, networking opportunities, progress, and empowerment in Southern Dallas. Mortgage experts including TSAHC-approved lender, Gracie Perez, will be there to answer questions. Register here.
June 29 - City of Arlington Homeownership Fair
This event is open to everyone with an interest in homeownership, including current homeowners, those who are actively looking to buy a home, and anyone who wants to know more about the homebuying process. Be sure to say hi to TSAHC's Frank Duplechain if you're there! Register here.
June 29 - NeighborWorks Laredo - Home Fair & Expo
Learn how to build, buy, and beautify your home at the Home Fair & Expo. TSAHC-approved lender, Matthew Vazaldua, will be there to spread the word about our programs! Register here.
If you don't see your area represented, there could still be a fair happening nearby. Check with your city, county, or a local housing counselor organization to see if there are any home buyer fairs or homeownership month events planned.
